The Blasket Islands

2003 - Seán Pheats Tom Ó Cearna in Dunquin, one of the last surviving Blasket Islanders, now living on the mainland, after the evacuation of the islanders in the 1940s and 50s.

He only granted me a couple of 'grab' shots so it's unfortunately, very out of focus.  However, better than no photograph!  Meeting him was the highlight of my trip over twenty years ago.
