Portrait and interview - 1992
In July 1993, Tracey completed a year’s course in journalism at the London College of Printing. Although her interests are varied, her work seems to fall into two distinct areas, environmental issues and people and their interests. One particular interview of note for her, was of the writer Fay Wheldon, whose views on feminism are well-publicised. Tracey’s intention was to find out from her how men feel they are being treated by women of the 90s and what effects if any, feminism has had on their lives.
At present, Tracey is saving to go abroad and hopes that finances will stretch to a permanent stay in America. She has not given up hope of becoming a journalist, but feels that the archetypical cut-throat image is not for her. Instead, she would prefer to interview the varied and interesting people she intends meeting on her travels. Tracey has made the decision not to fall into a career rat-race.
"I shall go with the flow, and hopefully get together a series of short stories, interviews and poems. I may even get it published!"
Update: In 1999, Tracey was studying Herbalism, with a view to becoming a Herbalist. She was working in the health food industry.
