Jez and Rachel

1992 - Jez and Rachel.  Rachel is the youngest of Gilly East’s five children and was interested in theatre and music from an early age.  She took part in several local productions and studied drama at Kevic’s (King Edward VI Community College, Totnes) and at A’ Level, together with other subjects.

Due to her father’s work, the family moved house very frequently and Rachel has lived in many parts of the country including Cornwall where she was a member of the well-known Helston women’s choir.  She considered the options of singing or acting as a profession and was also tempted with the idea of modelling but eventually chose to take a Personal Assistant’s Course at Torquay Technical College.  She is now employed with a local travel agent and is hoping to extend her career once she has at least a year’s work experience to her credit.

I knew Rachel and her mother quite well as they had modelled for me on a few occasions.  I hadn't met Jez before the day this photograph was taken. He was a friend of Rachel's and she invited him to the 'shoot, so sadly I have no information on his background or future plans.
